FW 2013-2014 – the collection
Florence Nightingale: Brits icoon van de negentiende eeuw, dwangmatig genie, sociaal hervormster, verpleegkundige, auteur van duizenden geschriften en grondlegster van de moderne verpleegkunde.
Nightingale veranderde de wereld door briljante ingevingen. Haar eigen demonen ging ze te lijf door de gevallen soldaten die ze tijdens de Krimoorlog verzorgde te verwerken in door haar ontwikkelde pooldiagrammen. De strakke lijnen gaven de reddende engel helderheid in haar hoofd, door verklarende kleuren werd ze haar neurosen de baas.
